Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Rob began his tattoo career apprenticing under Scott Cooksey at Lone Star Tattoo in Dallas. During his two-and-a-half-year traditional apprenticeship, he studied Texas-style tattooing alongside Japanese and American traditional, building the foundation for what has now become nearly seven years of tattooing.
Rob is especially drawn to colorful Japanese and American traditional-inspired work, with a particular admiration for the Texas tattooing of the ’90s—wild, weird, loose designs paired with unexpected color palettes. While these styles remain a major influence, Rob enjoys working across nearly any style and is always up for a creative challenge. Whether working from a custom concept or an existing idea, he loves collaborating with clients to bring their vision to life while finding ways to push the design creatively and make it uniquely their own.
Cover-ups and reworks are another favorite part of Rob’s practice. He finds it especially rewarding to help clients transform tattoos they no longer connect with into something they’re excited to have on their bodies, approaching each project with creativity, care, and an eye toward what’s possible.
Outside of tattooing, Rob spends his time painting, drawing, hanging out with his four Maine Coons, and going off-roading.
